Carly Fiorina's 'rags to riches' story is bovine excrement

Fiorina was born on September 6, 1954, in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Madelon Montross (née Juergens) and Joseph Tyree Sneed, III.[15] At the time of her birth, Fiorina's father was a professor at the University of Texas School of Law.[16][17][18] He would later become dean of Duke University School of Law, Deputy Attorney General, and judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.[19] Her mother was an abstract painter.[20] She is mainly of English and German ancestry,[21][22] and was raised Episcopalian.[21]

Fiorina attended Channing School in London. She later attended five different high schools, including one in Ghana,[23] graduating from Charles E. Jordan High School in Durham, North Carolina. At one time she aspired to be a classical pianist.[24] She received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and medieval history at Stanford University in 1976. During her summers, she worked as a secretary for Kelly Services.[25] She attended the UCLA School of Law in 1976 but dropped out[26] after one semester and worked as a receptionist for six months at a real estate firm Marcus & Millichap, moving up to a broker position before leaving for Bologna, Italy, where she taught English.[27]

Fiorina received a Master of Business Administration in marketing from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park in 1980. She obtained a Master of Science in management at the MIT Sloan School of Management under the Sloan Fellows program in 1989.[28]

knowing that she's faked out almost everyone in her life about almost everything? ("hey! Not my fault that they fell for it!&quot Some people are just completely ruthless, I guess.

6. It certainly does. Ergo, the absurdity that she claims she was poor.

That she started as ... a secretary (you can almost hear her trying to say "just&quot .

Next thing you know, she'll be claiming that she was homeless at one point - when she was really consulting, living out of a suitcase, shuttling between the Mandarin Oriental and the Four Seasons.

8. I am not going to hold it against her that she was born into privilege. We don't choose our parents.

I am not going to hold it against her that she was born into privilege. We don't choose our parents. But why mislead people and act like you were some ragamuffin?

9. I'm not sure I've admitted this before here, but I actually like rich people

more than poor people (on a personal level, they have better manners and courtesy than poor people). So why would I hold her privileged birth against her, a priori?

Like you, what I DO hold against her is her fakeness and her attempt to mislead poor and underprivileged voters into buying her bullshit "I was poor like you once, and I pulled myself up by my bootstraps, and you can, too!" agenda.

I know nothing about her parents other than what I've read in your OP, but from reading that, it sounds to me like they were probably doing something for the state department or otherwise working for the government, and this is primarily how she was able to make the important connections she needed to advance her way to the top of the corporate heap, and acquire a massive personal fortune in the process (even if she amassed it through massive FAILURE).

(I think) from an interview with her ex-husband who said that she is a narcissist who uses people then trashes them like used tissue. I don't think anything she says about her life story is true.
