...life and health of a woman means nothing to them...
daleanime
(17,796 posts)between pandering for votes or a woman's health, it's easy to see what they would take.

REAL men?
If you are a man, you support PP with your life.
It is that simple.
Not sure how, but must be done.

(16,286 posts)I am not sure what we can do, but if these fucking bastards end up destroying PP then there HAS to be a VERY serious price to pay.
Hepburn
(21,054 posts)...PP is NECESSARY. The provide far more than abortion service. They provide health services to all women and especially the poor.

(16,286 posts)Go to Amazon and sign up for SMILE and then assign your local PP as recipient of funds Amazon will issue for each purchase

(14,449 posts)PP actually gets a lot of donations. Today they will get even more donars. Republicans are doing opposite what they want to do in long run. Making PP stronger and more financially secure. They are dumb.

(71 posts)It makes me sick that we to have to take donatations to fund support for our injured veterans or to provide health services for women.
This is what Government is for!
But good for you in supporting Wounded Warriors.

(135,627 posts)...same with me. I was born in 1948. When I was in college as a freshman and living in a dorm, the girl across the hall from me -- I found dead. Bled to death from a street abortion.
There simply is NO reason to return to this bullshit. If a woman wants an abortion, she will have one whether or not it is illegal, expensive, outlawed, etc. The only solution is to keep abortion safe and legal.
BTW: While I am at it: FUCK YOU, CARLY.

If you are in their districts let them know how you feel!
There are also the House Democrats who didn't vote - I want to know why they didn't support women's health by voting against this measure:
John Delaney D MD-6
Ron Kind D WI-3
Charles B. Rangel D NY-13
Adam Smith D WA-9
Mike Thompson D CA-5

What say we start applying this hashtag to social media posts about this recent action and the (spinal) disc-less -- or dickless, if you prefer -- congressmembers who voted for it?

(8,175 posts)Obama has threatened to veto, so it's not going anywhere yet...but really, did both house and senate pass this? Damn...we have some dems to get rid of fast.

(2,382 posts)I took some SERIOUS shit earlier today for defending someone who posted something from a major dirtbag website. She's been posting to DU since before this clown was born, so I suggested he take a deep breath before he said something he'd regret. He came at me with a verbal flamethrower, got hidden for his trouble - NOT by me - and a few others joined the dogpile before Skinner shut the whole thing down.
My point was simply, maybe we can learn something from what the Dark Side is saying, so don't be so quick to condemn before you know what her reasoning was for posting it. Nope. World of shit.
Sadly, I don't think all of our worst enemies are on the Dark Side of the aisle. Those who lash out at their own for having the temerity to disagree with them have to re-examine their motives.
There's no one walking this planet that hates conservatives more than I do, but I never let rage cloud my reason. I've been on this planet longer than most on DU, so believe me when I say I've seen some shit, up close and personal. I have shed blood for my beliefs, and not all of it was mine.
You've been on DU longer than I have. Got any insights into what drives these people? They seem to have lost sight of the goal; it's their way or the highway, and they're WAY to quick to alienate potential allies. They can't unburn bridges after the primaries.
Sorry for venting, but this has been bugging me all day. Have a good weekend, Porcupine.

(8,175 posts)I was just wondering what the upset was all about...everyone was acting like the vote was in and we lost funding for PP. When in fact, only the house vote was in and we still had the senate vote and POTUS to knock it down.
I think a lot of people are just very pissed off and ready to attack anything right now, partly because of the schism on DU between the Sanders and Clinton group.
Your point is also valid though. You have to be very careful sometimes to approach a heated topic, even just trying to defend someone. You can get jumped on for not going along with the crowd. Crowd mania seems to run high in election seasons.
I don't know what thread you are referring to, but I'm sorry if you got dog-piled. It seems to be another election season thing...it brings out the the dog piles.
Try not to take things too personally. It can only bother you if you let it.
Yeah, I know. That's easier said than done. Don't look to me for an example.
You have a good day too.
