There are a lot of good people in Kentucky that want to get rid of the bad! Some good news to offset the Kim Davis types.

Hundreds of people turned out Friday afternoon to clean up anti-Muslim graffiti left on the Louisville Islamic Center.

The center, 4007 River Road, was defaced this week by vandals who left slurs in red paint on the white walls. The graffiti included "Stop terrorism" and "Moslems — leave the Jews alone."

Instead of expressing anger, members of the mosque asked on Friday that the vandals come forward and help clean up the graffiti. They said they would welcome them and invite them to learn more about their religion and their mission.

Mayor Greg Fischer, speaking at the event, said, "There is a lot of extremism in the world today. But today I'm seeing a lot of extreme love and support and I love it."

8. Just as there are 2 states here...

Louisville Metro, Lexington/Fayette, and the 3 NKY counties (Boone, Campbell, and Kenton) that are part of the Cincinnati metro area are very different from the part of the state that Kim Davis rules the roost.

This would be particularly newsworthy if this happened in for example, Corbin, Hazard, Somerset, Owensboro, or Henderson.

I come to DU to rant and rave and get my outrage on. And I keep getting subjected to pictures and videos of cats and critters and kids that make me smile. And now this - a truly good news story following the ugliness of religious bigotry. This should be all over main stream media.

I wonder if Teddy Cruz (Jofrey) or Christie (Cartman) or Trumpenstein (our lil' lord fauntleroy) would ever show up to this? How 'bout you Hukster? Hey Carly - come on down to the Mosque and scrape some paint.
