Teen arrested for anti-government protest in Saudi Arabia set to be crucified and beheaded

Teenager sentenced to death by crucifixion for protesting the government in Saudi Arabia

A teenager arrested for taking part in an anti-government protest in Saudi Arabia is set to be crucified and beheaded after his appeal was dismissed.

Ali Mohammed al-Nimr was arrested in 2012 aged 17 and was also accused of illegally possessing firearms, a charge he strongly denies.

Critics say he is innocent and is being punished because his uncle is a prominent religious leader and human rights activist, Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr - who was also sentenced to death in 2014.

They go on to claim the teenager was tortured, denied access to a lawyer and not even told when his case was taking place until after he was sentenced to death.

Thank goodness we're so clear that oil trumps lives, ethics, morality -- hell, even the ability to live on a life-sustaining planet!

We pretend so hard that our Middle Eastern alliances / grievances have to do with things other than 1) who has the oil and 2) who's playing nice with U.S. oil interests.

So hard.

The UK based, "anti-government protestors" probably can never go home to Saudi Arabia.

Social media has brought the world closer together.

These protest groups outside of Saudi Arabia should warn people who live in Saudi Arabia, that it is a death sentence for any SA citizen to protest their Gov.

Saudi Arabia even hired 'for profit' Mercs, Blackwater? to ferret out any SA Gov. protestors and those Mercs, that Corp. probably watches all social media and even "baits" people to post anti-gov. words.

Democratically elected Hugo Chavez was always referred to as a "strong man" and "brutal dictator", but the Saudis are always described as "Royal" and "allies" by the U.S. media and establishment politicians. Despite all of Hugo Chavez's faults he was not even in the same universe as the despotic torturers and murderers we call friends in the ME.

It's a good idea, but it would lead to a dangerous game of chicken. They cut oil production, gas prices go through the roof, our big oil companies ramp up fracking again as its economical... who knows what happens. Maybe we win, maybe we lose. One thing is for certain, the poor guy in the OP will lose for sure. Horrible fate... poor guy

There's like half a trillion reasons for that - Saudi /GCC corporate holdings in the US. And, then there's the covert wars they've funded against Russia and it's allies.

The Saudis will get away with anything they feel like and we would simply bomb someone else they want us to.

What other countries do to their own people, is only of interest to the USA if there are some kind of resources involved. Human resources mostly exluded.

15 of the 19 suicide pilots on 9/11 were Saudi.

Not Iraqi -- But GWB decided to invade and occupy Iraq anyway.

No consequences for Saudi Arabia. Hell, on 9/11 they were allowed to fly out of the US when all commercial flights were cancelled. The US has always prostituted itself in the interests of oil. Disgusting!
