10. Reminds me of an NBC commentator

during the openning ceremonies at the Lillehammer '94 Olympics. A group of skiers in folk dress kicked of their skis and began folk dancing in the middle of the field. The commentator goes "Hey! That's a lot like our American square dancing!"

the favorite in a speed skating event had just made the finals with a world record qualifying heat. The American announcer was impressed with her performance, but then added, "She may not be the most beautiful out their on the ice, but she'll certainly be hard to beat."

Let alone that this was a speed skating event (no make up and baubles to adorn a flirtatious performance) and the athlete was grimacing to catch her breath, but WTF!
