I hate "pundits" who call this election the this "cycle"

But isn't the real story here the utter mess that is the GOP primary - Walker falling, Perry falling - two multiple term GOP governors who were sure to be contenders - failing early?

All that energy, all that effort in getting them in, keeping them in, and they fall flat on their faces.
