Jeb Bush chides GOP’s ‘louder voices’ for hard-line immigration views

The Republican told the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s National Convention that comprehensive immigration reform – including a path to citizenship for those already in the country illegally – is a critical step in achieving that goal.

And noting that his view is “apparently somewhat out of the mainstream, temporarily, in my party,” Bush jabbed at his GOP counterparts – frontrunner Donald Trump, in particular – who have been aggressive in focusing almost exclusively on border security.

“We don’t need to build a wall. We don’t need to deport every person that’s in this country {illegally}” he said. “That’s not a practical, conservative plan. That won’t solve the problems.”
