Jeb Bush chides GOP’s ‘louder voices’ for hard-line immigration views
HOUSTON Chiding the louder voices in the GOP for their hard-line immigration views, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Monday touted himself as the presidential candidate who can turn the nations immigration conundrum into a sustained economic driver.
The Republican told the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerces National Convention that comprehensive immigration reform including a path to citizenship for those already in the country illegally is a critical step in achieving that goal.
And noting that his view is apparently somewhat out of the mainstream, temporarily, in my party, Bush jabbed at his GOP counterparts frontrunner Donald Trump, in particular who have been aggressive in focusing almost exclusively on border security.
We dont need to build a wall. We dont need to deport every person thats in this country {illegally} he said. Thats not a practical, conservative plan. That wont solve the problems.
