Donald Trump Threatens To Sue Club For Growth Over Ad

Donald Trump has no clue how political attack ads work and what can be considered libel in the context of a political attack ad!

What a friggin' MORON!!!!!!!!

Donald Trump Threatens To Sue Club For Growth Over Ad

Lawyers for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump sent Club for Growth a letter Monday demanding that the group cease and desist its ongoing campaign critical of Trump.

The cease and desist demand targets recent TV ads, as well as media interviews promoting the commercials, that suggest Trump is "very liberal." Monday's letter singled out a Club for Growth claim that Trump supports higher taxes, which Trump's legal team says is misleading and comes from a single, 15-year-old article.

"In other words, you lied," the letter said. "Mr. Trump does not support higher taxes. This is the very definition of libel."

The letter goes on to accuse Club for Growth of attempting a "shake-down" because Trump refused to donate $1 million to the group in exchange for its support.

Absolutely nothing. The politicians made the laws concerning this. It's 100% legal to lie in a political ad!

They have gotten tons of teabaggers elected over the years.

Now they can no longer control the monster they created.

But Trump is a fool if he thinks this suit will have any other outcome than being summarily dismissed.

Somebody needs to tell Trump the ad is protected free speech
covered by the First Amendment. This kind of empty bluster
just makes him look silly.

because Maher didn't follow through on an "unconditional offer" he made on the Tonight Show to donate $5 million to charity if Trump provided a copy of his birth certificate to prove that he's not “spawn of his mother having sex with orangutan.”

Trump eventually dropped the lawsuit against Maher, but it was bizarre to initiate it at all, and his lawyers should be sanctioned for filing or threatening to file such lawsuits as that one and this one against a group airing an political ad.

After Trump filed the lawsuit, Maher said on his show:

This is known as parody, and it's a form of something we in the comedy business call a joke," Maher said. "Just like we're the gun country, we're the joke country. We love our free speech and we love celebrities getting taken down a peg. So Don, just suck it up like everybody else.

Trump's ignorance is apparently infinite. He has no idea about how our government works or about the limitations on a president's power. He seems to think the president can operate like a dictator. He promises that as president he will immediately impose a tariff on all cars made outside the US--as though the president can by fiat make laws and impose taxes!

1) If Trump can't handle the heat, needs to leave the race? Pathetic!
2) I thought Trump said he had really smart people around him? Wrong!
3) Trump is going to use this so called smart people to run the country? Yikes!
