What happened with the suspected highway shooter, Leslie Allen Merritt, Jr.?

1. A few days ago all I heard...

was that he was charged with 16 counts of felonies regarding the shooting and there was a GoFundMe account in his behalf that was shut down. Oh yea and out of those 16 charges they didn't charge him with terrorism, but he still says he is innocent.

2. He is now awaiting trial in jail.

He told the press he didn't have the gun because he had pawned it. So the press went to the pawn shop to find out he pawned the gun on August 30th. All of the shootings he is accused of committing occurred before that. The police claim the ballistics on his gun match the bullets recovered from the shootings.

The cops said they have more. Are they just waiting until the trial to release it?
