Ekos last poll (last week) had the Tories in second behind the NDP.

(7,675 posts)the Tories are not surging as the report suggests. This week will give some indication of a Tory rise but I doubt it. The fate of the ten new ridings around Toronto may be the clincher or the six new ridings in BC and Nova Scotia. Whoever gets the majority of these new ridings will probably form the next government.
It's a nail biter which may force a coalition between the Libs and NDP if the Tories win by anything less than 3%. The Tories would fall with their first budget with only 30+% of the electorate.
