Chinese Obama: 'I speak a mix of real English and fake English. I make it up as I go along'

In a video interview with The Wall Street Journal, China's foremost Barack Obama impersonator revealed his secret to mimicking the subtle mannerisms of the U.S. President.

"The secret of impersonating Obama is to be natural," he says. "Also in all his speeches, sometime he looks serious and other times he grins."

With those rules in place, 29-year-old Xiao Jiguo has carved himself out quite a career. He says that he often gets invited to banquets by company bosses so that they can say the president of the United States came to their dinner. Also, he has lucked into the part of a low-level gangster who looks like Obama in a new (low budget) action flick.

This is all despite the fact that as Xiao tells the BBC his "English is bad." So, he relies on different methods to make himself not understood.
