The state of the Republican Party ...it is gone, according to this former GOP rep...as heard today

Bloomberg Surveillance after the Boehner news.
This man (sorry, I didn't catch his name) was asked if the GOP is going the way of the Whigs.

He said that the RNC can no longer raise enough money to help candidates because all the money is coming from OUTSIDE GROUPS rather than going to the part and so the party is completely fractured.

He comes from CA and knows McCarthy, but knows it's going to be tough even though he is well-liked...he recruited many of the zanies and now he will have to deal with him...He doesn't have much experience really in leadership situations.

Then he was asked if he was going to go to the convention....He said NO...because there was now point...Basically, he doesn't think there is any party anymore!

Tried to find this at Bloomberg, but it really is a radio show now on TV, so they seem to not have this on video...However, I found the link below... A business person who feels this will really hurt the GOP in the national...It's worth a listen....
I don't think business is really happy about this, because the unsettled gov't shenanigans upsets planning and creates uncertainty, and the markets hate uncertainty.....

The Dems have caved enough to "co-operate" with Republicans only to have gotten crapped on by them....But, there are "Reagan Democrats" who may come back to vote Dem, instead of the nutcases GOP. But Rubio might collect them...

We need a lot of votes to win...once in, a Dem prez will disappoint them, regardless, on most things.....
