http://news.yahoo.com/clerk-kim-davis-switching-parties-become-republican-063230989.html#Defiant Kentucky clerk Kim Davis stood on a stage in a Washington, D.C., hotel Friday night and spread her arms triumphantly.
"I am only one, but we are many," she exclaimed to the crowd, and thanked God for the courage to continue her crusade against gay marriage.
Much like the crusades eventually ignored any sense of their plight and ended up looting their fellow Christians rather than doing any of their so called good intentions, she should within ten years end up gay married because that's pretty much how the crusades went. Well, it was her analogy so we don't have to pretend she knows anything about history. Kim's crusade will likely bring in far less loot, and have rather less historical consequences. Hopefully her fifteen minutes are up, they felt up a full half hour ago, but in GOP land no one seems to ever run out of minutes. The same fools and court jesters just keep looting and looting the knaves. Really she's what that party has become. Try to respect a GOP voter... its hard isn't it.

(10,721 posts)there are posters on this board who would have voted for Davis, if given the chance, when she had a 'D' next to her name but now they won't. She's the exact same person with the exact same views, but there are those who apparently only care about the letter next to one's name. They see no reason to criticize a Democrat (cough, Clinton, cough), and assume all criticism comes from the right. There is no valid leftist critique of any Democrat.
If this Kim Davis situation doesn't make it plain how absurd that is, nothing will. D yesterday, gets my vote. R today, doesn't get my vote. Same person, same values. Different letter.
