It is always overcast when something interesting happens in the skies.

I'm in New Mexico, and one of the things I love here is the clear skies. Yay!

But to answer the question, I don't think the world will end for those who can't see the eclipse. Or who stay indoors the entire time. They will crawl out to a world that has ended for some, but not for them.

Wait, I've just been told that either the world ends, or it doesn't. So sorry there. Well, if it ends I'll miss DU. Wonder if there will be message boards in the afterlife? But if it doesn't end, I'll be back.

I am actually in far northwest coast of California so "Good" visibility forecast while LA is projected "Fair".

Last night around 3AM I went out on deck and there were three distinct contrails low in the sky approx. a mile apart in a sky that was bright from the Moon. Contrails are rare here as live on a National Forest inholding in an area with very little private property .

I'm praying for God to keep the clouds at bay until I can get a gander of the blood moon, but I think the answer will be no.
