Donald Trump promises universal healthcare and zero taxes for the poor if he wins in 2016

Republican firebrand Donald Trump has promised to scrap taxes for America’s poorest and offer healthcare for all if elected president — paid for by renegotiating the NAFTA accords and picking a trade fight with China.

The Republican presidential frontrunner and billionaire businessman promises to unveil Monday what the national economy would look like under a President Trump.

In an interview broadcast Sunday on CBS News’s “60 Minutes” program, he presented an outline of that program, insisting he had a recipe for balancing the country’s books while cutting taxes across the board.

This will not be popular with the GOP and will be another reason for them not to nominate him.

I don't think this is necessarily a game-ender for Trump - it'll make things more difficult for sure, but a lot of their working class and middle class base really hates NAFTA and other trade agreements. And of course the Yellow Peril stuff always plays ok with that crowd. Of course this also begs the question of who runs the party; and it probably is the wealthy donors who are going to hate this.

I think his supporters will love this. They want the "illegals" out and the wealthy punished and a more equitable distribution of the spoils of capitalism, so long as those they consider to be "freeloaders" don't benefit. The GOP has lost control of the base who, in the past, has gone along with making the rich richer on GOP taxation plans. From what I have seen of their reaction to Jeb's plans, the old way of doing things isn't going to fly. I firmly believe that if Jeb wins the nomination, it will be 100% because of a rigged primary process.
