1. IIRC, he did not say "All taxes", he said "taxes".

And it's very common for Republicans to only include federal income tax when they say "taxes".

But I really wasn't paying attention to the giant pile of bullshit.

11. Yes, and often when Republicans say that, they usually only mean federal income taxes.

Again, Republicans treat federal income taxes as the only taxes. They frequently ignore payroll taxes, or state and local taxes because those are relatively trivial to their real constituency.

That couple will clearly be paying sales taxes, property taxes, and a host of others - they aren't the federal government's to regulate.

3. Most GOP candidates are unfamiliar with SS taxes. They've never had to pay them.

But they're pretty sure that the SS benefits going to the useless eaters are coming from them somehow.

An elderly couple loses their homes and ask their kids for help. The kids can't take in both but separate the couple. The ending is very sad. This is the GOP vision of the elderly in America. They dupe these old people into voting for them while they try to dismantle social security behind their backs.

In Trumpville you don't have to make sense or be fiscally sound.

i say "assume" because i haven't read his proposal.
it is likely his policy proposal only exempts sub-$50k earners from the Federal income tax, not Social Security.
