Put this in the rumor category -- but . . . .

My daughter is a high-powered DC attorney who lives in one of those $X,XXX,XXX Capitol Hill rowhouses on Maryland Ave NW.

In my daughter's block lives Sen Thad Cochran's long-time legislative director who is now the second Mrs. Cochran. The first Mrs. Cochran was a dementia patient in a nursing home in Mississippi. For many years, Thad was, shall we say, a regular visitor at the now-second Mrs. Cochran's home. My daughter observed many of his comings and goings.

Tonight -- 28 September, around 6:00 PM -- daughter reported a lot of activity at the Cochran home with some Senate staffers whom she recognized along with 3-4 people she thinks were senators, though she couldn't identify them. The 3-4 visitors she thinks are senators came in big black SUVs with plainclothes Capitol cops escorting them.

Now, it could be they are gathering to piss on Boehner's still-warm corpse or play poker and drink scotch. On the other hand, there may be plotting and conspiracies afoot!!!
