The cops were raiding the home of Lisa Hayes' mother, with a search-warrant, where Ruther and Lisa Hayes lived. The cops were looking for their nephews, Joey L. Guy, 30, and Louis H. Scott, 33.

The cops busted in, found the two men in the living-room and handcuffed them without incident. The two men told the cops that their aunt is in the back and that she's quadriplegic.

The cops busted into the backroom where Ruther Hayes was giving the quadriplegic Lisa Hayes, which was lying naked on a bed, a sponge-bath.
- They screamed at her at gunpoint to stand up.
- Ruther Hayes identified himself as a disabled veteran and gave the police-officers his military ID-card. When he attempted to pull a bedsheet over his naked wife, the cops beat him up, then they tasered him, then they beat him up some more, then they arrested him for resisting arrest.

Ruther Hayes was later released without charge.

Joey L. Guy and Louis H. Scott got a single charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

insurance companies refuse to insure drivers who have three minor accidents (like hitting the rear view mirror against a sign post on a very narrow street). Drivers who have one medium to major accident are dropped by the insurance companies immediately.

Drivers who are dropped from the insurance policies are let go because they can no longer drive for the company.

Insurance companies insuring law enforcement agencies could and should set up a system that does hold the individual LEO responsible for his/her own behaviors. Insurance agencies can and should refuse to insure law enforcement agencies and municipalities that refuse to effectively train and police its officers.

shithead cops cost the taxpayers in lawsuits every year. That sounds callous, but seriously the only way to wake up some people is to hit their wallet. Obviously, no one is charging cops with crimes (the occasional token sacrifice maybe) and lawsuits don't deter bad cops. The city just pays up, or shuffles the shithead to another unsuspecting community.

How the fuck do you look in the mirror everyday knowing that you beat up an innocent person for shits and giggles?

I do not believe all cops are bad - I have worked with and known some very good ones. But good lord, the bad shit outweighs the good.

and know that they would never act like this, nor would they condone/cover-up for any other "officer" who acted like this.

I hear chatter all of the time, and some of it is that there is going to be a lot of backlash against abusive pigs like this. My only hope is that none of the good ones get caught up in the fray.

NOTE: I am in NO WAY condoning violence against ANY Officers, just repeating some things I have heard. I have a nephew in the Academy in Georgia right now, and my sister is worried sick about him once he graduates. I think he will be alright though, he was an Army M.P. for a few years before getting out of the service, so he has more training skills to start with.

Sorry, people with disabilities have been historically harassed and brutalized by LEOs, regardless of race or gender. I'm outraged that this post and the other, http://www.democraticunderground.com/10027215811, are getting little attention from from the folks with BLM or Bravenak avatars. We're all in this together, and each group should show support for one another. I give credit to the 12-20 people who respond to posts about police brutality against PWDs.
