Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, on Wednesday slammed House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) for his recent comment that the investigation into Benghazi had hurt Hillary Clinton politically.
"Thats an absolute inappropriate statement. It is not how this started. We wanted to get to the truth of it," Chaffetz told CNN's Wolf Blitzer.

(27,315 posts)McCarthy was just as ill suited as whip and majority leader, but, as the GOP promotes using the Dilbert Principle, this is not an issue for him. (at Gingrich's time, there would have been 2 or 3 people challenging him. This year, anybody even remotely qualified to be speaker is running away as fast as they can.
