(2) making their lives difficult by allowing jobs to be shipped offshore to the lowest bidder, (3) not providing true universal healthcare, (4) glorifying war, and (5) not putting controls on video games that glorify murder. Yes, our government does this. It creates misery and then sits on its hands.

where war is served up like a football game.....what more should we expect? This is a cultural issue and the US is a young country culturally, hence the reason we naively embrace war and violence on such a massive scale. That all may be changing soon as it seems the amount of propaganda we are being fed has become too obvious. Americans have to choose who they want to be. The current road we're on leads nowhere.

and could not stop once I got started... That includes my thoughts towards those who enable this to happen (and troll anyone who suggests change of any kind in response to these horrific shootings and the daily carnage that has become a "mere" statistic). I'd bet all who really give a damn about gun violence on DU know exactly to what/whom I refer.

It is true that violent crime is on the decline. So folks will jump up and down, don't regulate my guns, cause we have less violent crime. And they stop there.

Problem is, that even though violent crime is down, mass shootings are up. Prior to 2011, the US was averaging 200 days between mass shootings. Since then, we are averaging only 64 days. They don't figure this into their calculations. Thus, they tell us all we are safer cause crime is down even though mass shooting are 3x more likely to occur today, than they were 5 years ago.

how many "hides" they have to burn and planning the rotation of the usual yargle bargle. It is as predictable as the shootings.
