Take it for what it is, a rumor, and hearsay... But, according to the post, the guns came from an unlocked police car.

Take it on the face value that it's not confirmed yet, and I neither confirm nor deny the truth of it.

Of course, the media love, and I mean luh-uvvv, to speculate about what makes them do it, but how does that help us? We completely lack the ability to keep crazy people away from firearms, or vice versa.

Unfortunately I agree with you with the caveat Democratic cowardice as well. They all should be ashamed.

He speaks to us about how we need reform but how do we have reform? How will this reform prevent things like this from happening?

Do we have mental health screenings to own a gun?
What about the unregistered person to person sales?

Motives are important look at too. They should be looking for patterns and comparisons of each of these shooters. From medication and illegal drugs they are taking to internet useage.

Now another one in my own neck of the woods, relatively speaking. Roseburg is not that far south of Springfield where I live. It's one thing to read about it somewhere far away. But closer to home it hits harder. I know it shouldn't, but it does. Every tragedy should matter no matter how distant. It's just human nature to feel things stronger that are closer to home, I guess.

I want to know how he got from a little baby to a mass shooter.

Burying your head in the sand will do nothing more than help prolong this kind of violence.

So there is a good chance that even if he suffered from a mental disorder it went undiagnosed.

Some of this is that many mental disorders don't significantly impair an individual's capacity to meet minimal demands of daily functioning. But even for serious mental disorders, a significant fraction of people never seek clinical help.

Of course that won't prevent people in the media from probing family and acquaintences for 'signs' in an attempt to build that narrative.

He will have a first, middle, and last name. His picture will be everywhere. You'll know his name soon enough... Shit maybe even Rolling Stone will put him on the cover of he fits the right demographic.

The media loves this stuff. We will have 25x7 coverage for weeks... Unless of course there is another one somewhere else.
