Homeless man reunited with puppy after animal rights activists seized his pet and left him weeping

A homeless man who was left in tears when animal rights activists confiscated his puppy has been reunited with his beloved pet.

Cause Animale Nord hit the headlines last month when they seized the dog "for its own good" from the homeless Roma man near Châtelet in central Paris in front of shocked onlookers.

As the video below shows, the man was incredibly upset when he was targeted by the activists.

A police enquiry brought one man in for questioning on September 25., but he was released after promising to return the dog.

A police source told RTL radio : “The president of Cause Animale Nord, who admitted the theft of the animal in custody on Thursday afternoon, had placed the puppy in a foster family in Wattignies [in the Nord department].”

“However, he challenged all violence, saying he acted for the good of the animal after a very insistent woman alerted him to the problem.”

im all for animal rights but this was just wrong to do.

This animal rights group went way over the top by stealing this poor man's companion.
Glad they did the right thing and returned the dog.

Seems to me they need to do more than just return the dog.

"good old fashioned hippie beat down" was watching that video. They not only traumatized the poor guy but his dog as well. Stupid idiots.

Shame on them. I'm happy the man & his best friend were reunited.

If they truly cared, they would have offered medical care (shots, worm check, etc. ) & then offered the puppy some chow to eat. Maybe even offer comfort, or at least a blanket for the man as well.
