Poll: 70% of syrian refugees are fleeing from Assad, 30% are fleeing from ISIS.

https://www.adoptrevolution.org/en/survey-amongst-syrian-refugees-in-germany-backgrounds/

"Adopt a Revolution" is a german-syrian online-movement that was founded in fall 2011 to educate on the syrian civil-war.

According to their polls (multiple answers possible):

Why are Syrians fleeing Syria?
68% - threat to life
13% - economic reasons
8% - avoid draft into syrian army

What kind of violence are they fleeing from?
92% - the war
86% - fear of being arrested or taken hostage
73% - barrel bombs

Who is responsible for the violence?
70% - Assad-regime
32% - ISIS
18% - Free Syrian Army
16% - Al-Nusra
8% - YPG

A majority of Syrians would like to return to Syria. 8% have left for good.

What would have to change in Syria so you would return?
68% - war has to stop
52% - Assad has to go
44% - ISIS has to go
42% - free elections

How to prevent people from leaving Syria?
58% - no-fly-zone (The poll was conducted before Russia started bombing syrian territory. At the time of the poll, the Assad-regime was the only one to employ an air-force in the syrian civil-war.)
38% - no more arms-deliveries to Syria
24% - more humanitarian aid to Syria

The poll was conducted on 889 syrian refugees in Germany, chosen at random.

The removal of Assad (51%) and ISIS (43%) would motivate refugees to return to Syria.

Perhaps most of us are so shocked and morally offended by the actions of ISIS that we forget how long Assad has been terrorizing Syrians. Apparently the refugees have not forgotten.

Thanks for posting this survey, DetlefK. I would never has come across it otherwise.

I've been saying for quite a while that there are no good guys to fight with in Syria right now. Let Russia have it.

Who is responsible for the violence?

70% said Assad

74% said insurgent groups.

That's 144%. I guess it is a multiple answer survey.

How to get Syrians to return to Syria?

Stop the fighting! (68%)

I find it a bit surprising that after four years of brutal civil war, only a bare majority (52%) said "Assad must go."

And 42% said free elections.

Those 30% are likely members of minority groups that rightly would fear ISIS more than the government.
