The fact that anyone like McCarthy is actually elected to anything is an embarrassment to the people who elected him multiple times. This guy makes a complete idiot look like Einstein. He makes absolutely NO sense at all when he talks.
One thing as Speaker he would be a national joke. The comedians would have a field day with this guy.
Then again you have to look at the GOP presidential candidate field.

(53,339 posts)On the plus side, he's not a teapartier. On the neg, his recent statements strike me as indicating he will be more accomodating to the Freedom Caucus than Boehner.

(14,645 posts)everything made sense. No offense to Bakersfield, but, I lived there for awhile and it was like landing on a different planet. I feel lucky that I got out of there with any brains left!

She said it made AZ look like a liberal commie hell. Now lives in Half Moon Bay, has become far more liberal and plans to vote for Bernie.

(6,719 posts)and they speak clearly and make sense and are smart. I don't know about the population that elects this man. There seems to be a distinct pattern. Anyone here a linguist? His speech pattern sounds to me as if he is translating from a language with different rules but he has an American accent. I donno. But he should not be Speaker.

(41,818 posts)having a guy with speech problems to represent them. All they have to do is say he is
disabled, and point at us and say see? You guys are no different, when it comes to prejudice against the disabled. Hopefully they will get him a great speech writer, that is...if he can read.
