Jerome Hudson's disturbing, delusional Breitbart op/ed "The Liberal Media Lynching of Dr Ben Carson"

One of my conservative friends posted this on his Facebook page. YES, it's Breitbart, so if you don't want to read it or click the link, don't.

The Liberal Media Lynching of Dr. Ben Carson

http://www.breitbart.com/big-journalism/2015/10/09/liberal-media-lynching-dr-ben-carson/

We are all witnessing an elaborate liberal media lynching of Dr. Ben Carson. The former Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon turned leading black Republican presidential candidate is just the latest “uppity negro” (Justice Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain) to defy the expectations of his white liberal mainstream media masters by deciding to ditch the political hymnal from which most blacks read and think for himself.

No matter that before he was surgically splitting brains, Ben Carson was being raised in poverty by a single mother. The disgusting, and yet prevailing, wisdom among far too many Americans is that if black people grow up impoverished like Ben Carson did, their unfortunate fate is a fixture of an America that is, always was, and always will be a devoutly racist place. And if you are black in America, you should never expect to achieve any meaningful socioeconomic success–like becoming a brilliant brain surgeon–simply because of the barriers American racism persistently permit. Of course, this is fallacy.

More pointedly, Ben Carson rebukes that bitter ethos and the victim-focused racial identity it breeds. And now that–as a national figure running for president–he has chosen not to be a mindless minstrel puppet, tap dancing, performing, like a good boy, for his white liberal media gatekeepers, he is being whipped, strung up, and left to hang.

For all the Left’s pseudo-social science drivel about how white America “otherizes” blacks–mercilessly demeaning their humanity, transforming them to subhuman status–one would assume there would be more influential African Americans defending Ben Carson from abhorrent attacks like being called a “coon” by an Ivy League professor. I dare you to imagine a GQ headline that read, “Fuck Barack Obama.”

It's Sun Tzu Art Of War 101. It's impossible to defeat an opponent when saying "I'm not going to read that because it was published by my opponent." Knowledge is still power. The more you know about your opponent, the greater your chances of crushing them. So I appease the people who piss and moan about Fox links or Breitbart links by announcing what I'm posting up front and giving them the opportunity to turn their attention elsewhere. It's an effective strategy 80% of the time. 20% of the pissing and moaning still makes it through because pissing and moaning is a popular spectator sport, rather than actually engaging in a conversation about what the opponent is saying.

...in my own way, I was trying to thank you for commenting on the post, rather than just saying "I'm not going to read it because it's from Breitbart."

It's OK to not read it...I'm trying to see the value in posting "I'm not going to read it." I'm thinking "OK....would you like me to alert the media?"

I think that, after two terms of Obama, we need to accept the sheer lunacy over the Republicans getting up in arms over an African American politician being, in their view, "slimed." That's why I posted it, and you picked up on it, so thanks.

Apparently Republicans forgot the donkey, watermelon and fried chicken postcards from Obama's first term. Those weren't distributed by Democrats.

Funny how they use abhor lynching when it's one of their own, but if they could they would gleefully lynch Obama, literally. And I think it is disgusting when you are not allowed to criticize a politician who happens to be African American without that subject coming up. I abhor the things Ben Carson says....it is irrelevant to me that he is black. The only thing I can say about that is I am puzzled how he and Thomas can have the politics they do have. I just think both of them are selfish egotists whose attitude is "I've got mine, and I don't have to help anyone else." In a way I think they are denying their own identity, the rich culture of African Americans. I think it's sad. It has been my experience that black people are generous and loving and good people, and I don't see that in Carson.

That liberals were very respectful to him especially in regards to his medical back ground ( still is). We disagreed with him on policy but we did so respectfully. The change happened when he began saying absurd sentences. We didn't force him to say those things. He did himself 100 percent. He changed the discussion, we didn't. Had he not said some of the outlandish comments, he'd be treated as before, respected but in full disagreement on issues. This is 100 percent on him and not liberals.

Sarah Palin took that one and ran with it. I agree with you completely on Carson...the closest thing I've seen to "criticism" of his medical career on DU is the observation that he probably burned a few bridges, no matter how skilled he his, simply on the basis of his personality. If what he's expressing right now in the media forms the core of his actual beliefs, he's got issues. And his comments HAVE been outlandish...if you yell "fire in the hole" and then throw something in that actually explodes, you're going to have some people call you on it. That's exactly what I see here...if Carson wants to talk about how he'd rather see bodies riddled with bullet holes before gun control, then he can tell it to my fucking niece, who sat in a state of panic for four hours yesterday while her daughter was in lockdown at her high school as cops searched for a girl spotted with a gun. No one got shot, and the cops found the girl at her home later in the day. She has a history of being troubled, but no one got shot.

My sister and my niece are both gun owners and neither have called for gun control. But Carson's crap about bullet-riddled bodies showed that when it comes to something other than surgery, his ability to think creatively is narrow and limited. If he said "gun control is not the answer" and left it at that, no one would have blinked. There would surely have been disagreement but no blowback.

All clear given after gun reported at Co Springs school

COLORADO SPRINGS - On Friday, Mitchell High School was put on lockdown after students reported seeing a student with a gun on campus.

According to police, Mitchell students told a school resource officer that they saw a female student with a gun on campus. Police were called and searched each room at the school, as well as the female student's home.

Students were told to "shelter in place" which means parents are not to come to school. Around 3 p.m. the all clear was given and students were released. Investigators did not find a weapon or the student on campus.

Hey Republicans THERE IS NO LIBERAL MEDIA!!! It's a myth that you have been fed for decades! Ben Carson did this to himself with his stunning ignorance about guns and gun control. He deserves every ounce of negative publicity he is getting.

irrational bigot. Ben Carson is living proof. Being a brain surgeon doesn't confer authority on him to speak on anything outside of his field of expertise.
