My open letter to Christine Gregory
I wish the News Tribune had the guts to print a rebuttal to Gregory's high praise of the TPP. I wish I could talk to Gregory, the TPP would allow Pharma unbridled power to increase the cost of medicine to the point the poor and lower classes will not be able to use them. The State of Washington let radiation (Hanford) loose in the atmosphere when I was a kid. One of the damages common to radiation exposure is thyroid problems. I had to take thyroid medication as a young person and young adult. Isn't that wonderful, your government radiates you. Say the pledge of Alliegance (damn fool). Then this state let my adult daughter die over $3.00. She had an income of $700 per month, that was enough to deny her medical care. She died 6 months later from a condition anyone one of you with medical care would have solved before death. And to beat that she was working (of course including medical care is too expensive for employers, sheesh.) This state literally killed her....her 14 yr old daughter had to do without her mother because the medical profession must have money before you can have life. Thanks Ms. Gregory, I'm sure my granddaughter appreciated the low value on her mother's life. Now you tell us the TPP is great...for who Ms Gregory? Under the TPP pharma has UNCONTROLLED POWER , is this nation deliberately trying to kill low income people?
Recently I had a medical problem, I researched the blood pressure med I was given and found out it was the cause of my medical problem. THE CAUSE...and my medical care provider knew nothing about how my condition was a possibility this med could cause my problem. When I begged my medical provider to put me on another med THE PROBLEM DISAPPEARED. And now Gregory wants us to support the TPP when we are are not allowed to inspect it, even our political reps. I'm getting damn sick of this country and those of you who make no effort to stop this ugliness because your ox has not been gored (yet)
