Police: Woman charged after live streaming herself drunk driving
LAKELAND, FL (WFLA) – A Lakeland, Florida woman allegedly sent out live video of herself driving drunk via the social media app Periscope.
Two people called 911 to report the incident. Lakeland Police detectives used the live streaming app to watch the video and track down Whitney Beall, 23.
The live stream allegedly shows Beall saying “Let’s see if I get a DUI,” according to a report from WFLA.
Beall was charged with Driving Under the Influence and booked into the Polk County Jail. She was released Saturday.
