Seeing how you don't show where I'm anti-Semitic or a homophobe, some people might call you a "Troll," which is what you called your little pastime on DU:

(55,745 posts)Mark Mazzetti's emails with the CIA expose the degradation of journalism that has lost the imperative to be a check to power
Glenn Greenwald
guardian.co.uk, Wednesday 29 August 2012 14.58 EDT
EXCERPT...
But what is news in this disclosure are the newly released emails between Mark Mazzetti, the New York Times's national security and intelligence reporter, and CIA spokeswoman Marie Harf. The CIA had evidently heard that Maureen Dowd was planning to write a column on the CIA's role in pumping the film-makers with information about the Bin Laden raid in order to boost Obama's re-election chances, and was apparently worried about how Dowd's column would reflect on them. On 5 August 2011 (a Friday night), Harf wrote an email to Mazzetti with the subject line: "Any word??", suggesting, obviously, that she and Mazzetti had already discussed Dowd's impending column and she was expecting an update from the NYT reporter.
SNIP...
Even more amazing is the reaction of the newspaper's managing editor, Dean Baquet, to these revelations, as reported by Politico's Dylan Byers:
"New York Times Managing Editor Dean Baquet called POLITICO to explain the situation, but provided little clarity, saying he could not go into detail on the issue because it was an intelligence matter.

That vid---is this news model the new Abby Martin? I thought that RT was toning down their frequent-guest-Alex-Jones things, but I guess not!
Thank you!

(15,715 posts)and Voice of America, BBC and Radio Netherland for my news and stuff. You take it all and juggle the info and you end up pretty well informed. The kids today do the same thing wth all sorts of different news sites. The right wing alternative news is Fox, and Drudge.
No news site is inherently wrong unless it is your only source for information.

(24,692 posts)It is like reading World Nut Daily or the Washington Times or Drudge Report. They each deliver a more-or-less 'official' conservative line on things. It is useful to know what people whom you normally don't agree with think even if it laughable at times.

(32,886 posts)When Putin started to take Russia south, he must have given orders to the various Russian media outfits to spew the propaganda necessary to support what he was doing.
RT was always Pro-Russia and had some minor snarkiness towards the US in a lot of broadcasts, but it became completely ridiculous. In the middle of that metamorphosis, Russia passed the anti-gay law and I told them I would no longer do any Russian media (I had done Russian radio as well as RT multiple times) until that law was rescinded.

(6,419 posts)Illuminati, Rothschilds, Bilderberg-- all terms used so that polite company won't know you are a vicious anti-Semite. That's why it's bizarre that this news-model breaks out with it in this vid--you're not supposed to mention that you're really targetting Jews. Specifically :55 to 1:25 "...is a HEBREW word...not only do they use an Illuminati logo, they also speak HEBREW!"
Unlike the former RT host Abby Martin's show, this show doesn't seem to be appealing to people who think they're smart. It's not even pretending to respect the audience's intelligence. It's kind of Palinesque.
Behind the Aegis
(53,951 posts)Coded anti-Semitism is quite popular. Hell, outright anti-Semitism is semi-popular. It doesn't matter what the conspiracy, you can always be certain there will be someone to blame the Jews and someone who comes along and defends it. Like the cleaning of a house....it never ends.
