Want to See Your NSA or FBI File? Here's How..

It simply takes a few minutes to fill out the requisite forms and mail them to the appropriate address. An independent site – www.getmyfbifile – will, free of charge, generate the necessary forms for you already filled out.

Of course, you can also do this directly through the NSA or FBI if you are worried about providing personal information to an independent site.

While an appropriate level of cynicism may be warranted concerning the level of transparency one should expect from such a request – should your file be substantial – it is the law that your complet

"We can neither confirm or deny the existence of such files."

They just stonewall you unless you have the money to hire a bunch of high priced lawyers.

that the NSA has a file on Mr. Obama and if he had been born in Kenya, it would have been known before he ascended to the U.S. Senate.

The second time to see if the file request goes in your file.

7. I'm sure they've got a file on me because I applied for a job with the FBI many decades ago.

They offered it to me, but I was unable to accept at the time so I imagine my file isn't too exciting.

In late '73 to '75 I worked on an NSA-controlled Air Force base. Perhaps you've heard of Echelon?

The FBI did a background check on me while I was training in Texas- they went to my little village and asked virtually every adult there if I were a commie sympathizer bastard before they would give me my clearance.

And in the years since I've been vocal at times- search the DU2 archives for the best of my old rants. I have no doubt anyone who posted here during the *bush years has a red flag or two attached to their names in one or more official files.

Big deal.
