No Matter How Screwball GOP Is They Have Capacity To Wreck The Country Permanently.

I do no care how clownish the GOP is or how nasty, absurd and deranged they become they still have the ability to wreck the US permanently. And we are still sliding down into the abyss in many ways. They have cheated and rigged their way into a permanence of power that will make life miserable for years to come.

In fact the could even win the White House next year. I simply do not have face in voters today. And their openly racist agenda will probably work. Racism, fear, and hate are great motivators.

Or in 2020 for that matter.

Just think how much better off this country would be if 2010 had simply been a wash election at the local, state and federal levels instead of the massive Repub landslide which it was.

advantages in 2014 are ours. We have a real chance of taking the Senate, especially if we win the White House and our VEEP is Senate tie-breaker. Allso, Democrats do better in presidential election years, bringing out more young and minority voters. And the latter are angry and energized.

We may well pick up some House seats, perhaps even enough to make things very dissatisfying for the "Freedom" Caucus.

As for the White House, how would any of us like to be in the Republicans' shoes this time around? I couldn't hang around political forums; that sick feeling would require me to ignore what was happening as long as possible.

Good news -- it's looking as if Ted Cruz could replace Trump as their frontrunner as we move into the primary stretch. Scary as Ted Cruz getting anywhere near the White House is, IMO The Anointed One is also an unelectable one, the most extreme of an extreme pack and in so many ways the epitome of what is wrong with the GOP.
