Vice President Joe Biden and former President Jimmy Carter to join Washington, D.C., tribute to Walter Mondale

University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School honors Mondale at two events: A daylong policy forum co-hosted by GW’s Trachtenberg School, and a gala dinner program at the Four Seasons Hotel

Vice President Joe Biden and former President Jimmy Carter will speak about the living legacy of former Vice President Walter Mondale at two Washington, D.C., events on Oct. 20. Mr. Mondale, who will be in attendance, will be honored by current and former politicians and join in discussing domestic and foreign policies on which he worked.

The University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs—where the former Vice President now teaches—will co-host a daylong forum with the George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration, which will also serve as the venue for the event. A gala dinner will follow the policy forum. The events culminate a yearlong initiative by the University of Minnesota to honor the life and legacy of Mr. Mondale.

A complete schedule and list of participants, including panel times and topics for both events, is available online.
