I still love DU though. It's given me refuge since 2003 when I joined. But the separation of economic justice and racial justice is wrong headed and a trap. I can no longer take the ruse. They are bound. Therefore, I'm morally and intellectual required to in my own mind to leave if for nothing else just because I'm tired and old. I will seek out doing the best I can for my fellow human beings. I also will do the best I can do for my children. And, MANY of us here at DU believe we have to fight for both economic and social justice at the same time.

Fielding candidates that believe in both strongly shouldn't be as difficult as it is currently. The only reason it is currently is that financial interests heavily fund THEIR candidates in the primaries (candidates that don't believe in passing (or fighting for) policies that help address the ridiculous levels of economic and wealth inequality we face today).
