Lawrence O'Donnell pointed to this on his show the other night. He actually had 2 sources but I can only find this one:
Chuck Todd catches a clue that Ted Cruz's angriest debate moment, blasting the CNBC moderators for being too mean to him and his Republican colleagues, was planned before the debate ever started.
4) Look for the candidates to push back harder on the moderators than in previous debates. One of the debate preppers told us: I think youre going to hear a lot of, Well, we didnt see any of this tit-for-at that time in the Democrat debate.

(70,645 posts)2. Yip they're trying to stop being questioned: Deflect, distract, attack "the media" -
Next step: forcing the "establishment" RNC to modify the debate structures - by reducing the number of debates, CHOOSING the moderators, plus the distract/deflect/attack. CHRISTIE learned how to make his blustering eruptions acceptable (compare his & R.PAUL's ridiculous explosion in the 1st debate to his & CRUZ's polished attack on the media this time). TRUMP never gives specifics, just I-the-best/I-will-do-this-that, all non-answers with the cover that he won't tell specifics so as to keep the enemy in the dark.
