Anonymous Denies List of KKK Members after politicians respond

http://www.newsweek.com/politicians-respond-names-alleged-kkk-list-389874
Updated | Online hacking group Anonymous has denied responsibility for the recent publication of a list that claims some U.S. politicians belong to the Ku Klux Klan.

Last week, Anonymous said it would soon release the identities of about 1,000 members of the white supremacist organization. Anonymous is expected to release the details on Thursday, the day of the global protest movement known as the Million Mask March, in which demonstrators around the world will march in a protest against corrupt governments and corporations.

Anonymous denies it has any connection to the list of names, which was published Saturday on the website Pastebin. Most of the politicians included on the list—four Republican senators, four Democratic mayors and a Republican mayor—have denied the claims.

3. Exactly as I said in the other thread. Anyone can post to pastebin

and Anonymous' twitter account didn't link to it. Everyone in that thread was too excited to be bothered to think for themselves for one second. I guess when you are an extreme partisan you'll believe any accusations about people from the opposing political party, even with no evidence whatsoever.

4. My take from their website is that they are denyng it's from them but they are not saying

if it is true or not. They say it was leaked by one of their sources and they have many sources.

This is where it came from and Anonymous even links to them on their website: https://twitter.com/TheAnonMessages

The link to it is right on Anonymous's official website: http://anonhq.com/opkkk-anonymous-unmasks-kkk-reveals-identities-of-prominent-members/

From their Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/ArmyAnonymous/?fref=ts&ref=br_tf

Anonymous @Joy Butler, that was a leak from an "anon" source. The real list of 1000 kkk members will be published on nov 5th by the original team who started operation kkk a year ago and who hacked kkk'S twitter accounts and revealed identities of some kkk members back then.

6. Today's list is people who were signed up for KKK email newsletters

And to do that, all someone has to do is enter your email address on a form. Doesn't even have to be you.

7. I posted exactly that at 12:35PM today

51. It's quite easy to use someone else's email address

to subscribe to newsletters. For example, I could take an openly gay mans email address and subscribe to a Klan newsletter, and even if there's verification procedures, if the Webmaster of the site doesn't clean out their database, that name/email address remains in the database.
