I don't think I have ever been this worried about the Presidential election
Remember when we were all afraid it's be Bush V Clinton? Ah, for the Good Old Days! The Republicans look closer and closer to nominating someone totally incompetent and wildly irresponsible take your pick - Trump, Cruz or Rubio. I've heard that many at the bottom are dropping out of voting, leaving angry white men (and women) to tip the balance.

1. It's the war that follows the election that worries me.
Regardless of which angry white man (or woman) is installed, we'll be deeper in the muck and blood and oil within months.

2. I fear domestic violence toward women, LGBT folks, Muslims and any non-Christians, POC...
anyone who doesn't fit the Dominionist mold. I don't think Trump will be the nominee and I fear it will be one of their
Christian sharia law type crazies. |

3. I worry about the back and forth between parties
We have gon GOP-DNC-GOP for a very long time. Hopefully we finally change that. Independents are key.

4. I don't think I've ever been this sure of a slam dunk other than the last two.
This one may be a 48 state landslide.

5. My eyes are on whether we will get a simple senate majority, or a super majority. nt

8. I would guess 52-53
For Democrats in the Senate, Republucans lose 10-15 seats in the House but retain Speaker/majority.

6. Last two elections I saw too many noshows...
and while knocking on doors I found a lot of people completely disgusted with the entire system.
A lot of that wasn't about Washington, though-- it was about local politics and bullshit. This past election was a big one for town gummint and the turnout was abysmal. I'd really like to hear from others about local turnout, but doubt it around here. |

11. If you think that way why are you even here? The attitude I see from the
Sanders supporters is if Hillary is the nominee I won't vote. I see no such talk from Hillary supporters. People with that attitude are the reason we lost in 2014. They are the same people that came out and voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012 then forget about him the day after the election, now we have Republicans controlling most states and the national government. I will vote for who ever the Democratic nominee is, it matters.

9. I wish I didn't agree with you
The sence of urgent desperation seems to be everywhere .The 24 hour news / fear cycle has alot to do with it so people can't hide from this new hyper reality about the 1% verses seven billion .

10. I'm not worried. Hillary Clinton will be our next president.
For anyone who disagrees with me, I've offered to bet them a coke. There's no doubt in my mind that she will win.

13. I hope you are right but anything can happen in the next year,
if we have another Wall Street meltdown or another 911 all bets are off. Another thing is if the sore losers be it Sanders or Hillary supporters don't vote we are screwed.
