Though to impress people I like to call it 'Buzzard D'Or'.

miles from here and see them. One swooped me last time. There are no words to express their majesty.

When I image-searched it, the only result that came back with a location was on Pinterest:

I checked cause I thought it might be here where I live. We have tons of Eagles here in Northwest Washington, Skagit Co, too. Today, when we went out for a walk, we saw seven baldies sitting up in one douglas fir, right above the creek that runs thru the woods behind out house.

No matter how many times I see a bunch of them on the alert for fish like that, it's still gives me a thrill to be sharing space with them.

I have seen a lot of eagles there. Also near Nisqually. But I figured these might be to the north. Spectacular. I can see why you get a thrill to see them! They are making such a huge comeback from near-extinction!

Living on the western migratory path we get lots of Bald eagles seasonally here. I saw my first on since spring yesterday, sitting on a fence-post by the road I was driving down, tearing into a morsel of something or other. Beautiful and impressive birds, always a surprise when you're used to seeing just sparrows and starlings along the way.
