I am sure the GOP will support militia rights to operate under the Second Amendment. After all the GOP supports selling our national parks and state parks to people like the Kochs. After these assets belong to the people?

After taking over the bird refuge headquarters what could be next. The NRA and GOP are ramping up the rhetoric. So any action again them including cutting off resources will cause a RW backlash. The RW is egging for an open fight and armed militias are their hope to stir up even more chaos.

Hatred of all government is their path to the White House. We are in for a long and more nasty campaign than we have ever seen.

Thirty years ago this would only be a minor local news story. The locals are not in support of these idiots. This story is only a big deal to those who wish to make it a big deal. Most people do not care. It's a single location in a dural area. Cut them off and they'll come out on their own.
