Family Values Republican: Men Should Be Allowed to Grab Breastfeeding Womens Nipples in Public
New Hampshire state Rep. Josh Moore deleted the comment, but not before it was archived and posted elsewhere.

A self-described pro-family conservative said on Facebook he should be allowed to grab the nipples of breastfeeding mothers if a law banning women exposing breasts in public didnt pass. New Hampshire state Rep. Josh Moore (R) deleted the comment, but it was archived and posted by Slate.
The comment was made in a squabble over proposed legislation that would make it a crime for women to expose their nipples in public. Currently in New Hampshire, both men and women are free to go topless, reports Slate. A bill sponsored solely by Republican men would change that, if it becomes law. A woman could be charged with a misdemeanor if she purposely exposes the areola or nipple of her breast or breasts in a public place and in the presence of another person with reckless disregard for whether a reasonable person would be offended or alarmed by such act.
New Hampshire State Rep. Amanda Bouldin (D) took to Facebook to criticize the bill and call out her male, Republican small government ( and small other things, I would guess) colleagues. Thats when things got awkward. Here is Moores response, including typos and errors.
Who doesnt support a mothers right to feed? Moore responded. Dont give me the liberal talking points Amanda. If its a womans natural inclination to pull her nipple out in public and you support that, than you should have no problem with a mans [inclination] to stare at it and grab it. After all, its ALL relative and natural, right?

(5,762 posts)I breastfed my daughter for a year in every possible location, public and private. Baby hungry, baby gotta eat. It's that simple. I took basic steps to protect my own modesty, but the fact is, when a baby is nursing, your nipple isn't exposed because it's in the baby's mouth.
So maybe this asshole person should learn some basic anatomy and facts about breastfeeding.
Nobody ever gave me shit about it, either, maybe because I was living in Africa and people there were chill because it's fucking NORMAL to breastfeed your infant.
I wasn't aware of anyone rushing to grab the nursing or non-nursing breast, but...to be fair, I was focused on my baby.
I also checked with my husband (a man) and he expressed no desire to grab the breasts of ANY woman (except mine), nursing or not. We have visited clothing-optional beaches, and I have never noticed any groping (or ogling) going on. Among anyone.
