I got laid off in November (right before Thanksgiving) and haven't had much luck finding a full-time job so I am in the process of setting up my web development freelance business. I've gotten a couple of clients but my savings have run out and the landlady is knocking on the door and so is the bank for my car loan. I also lost my roommate right before all this happened and haven't had luck in that area either.
Anything you can do to help me catch up before I get kicked out or lose my car would be much appreciated. Living in the DC metro area isn't cheap and net 30 terms (my client will pay me at the end of January) are hard to deal with at the moment.
I hate having to ask for help but can't see any other way around it at the moment (I've sold most of the stuff I have that's worth anything to cover December).
Any and all help would be appreciated.

(11,824 posts)hoping you get a wonderful benefactor. My hours were cut, so I'm not sure if I can help - other than sending you hugs.

(14,912 posts)for more exposure, but I have been barely holding my nose above water for several months now.. and that's standing on my tip-toes with my head tilted back!
I know just how you feel though... like you're drowing, with the weight of the world crushing you down, not to mention the added stress. I'm on disability myself... just got paid, paid all of the bills, then had a tire blow out on my car Sunday Evening. It cost me $40 for a USED tire, leaving me less than $90 for the month for food, gas and essentials.
Best of luck to you and, most of all, take care of YOU and keep your spirit up.
Peace,
Ghost
