C8 is not a naturally occurring chemical, it is man-made.
It is very likely in your blood now.
No matter where you live.
It is toxic.
DuPont created it.
DuPont dumped it in unlined landfills.
DuPont dumped it in the Ohio river.
DuPont dumped it in the ocean.
DuPont pumped it through smokestakes into the air.
DuPont lied about it for decades and continues to lie.
Despite successful lawsuits and investigations, there isn't a lot the law can do about it.
DuPont helped write the law. (the only federal law related to toxic chemicals is Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) was written in large part by a DuPont VP and a congressman from Texas, Eckhardt and made law in 1976 and has not been updated since)
Though it is a very long article, it gives great background and makes connections. For me, It brings to light and draws connections to everythingfrom the lead poisoning in Flint to climate change. Best article of its kind I have read in a long time. It is worth every minute it takes to read:
