Powerball tickets are $2 so it costs about 600 million to buy every combo. Also, there literally isn't enough time to buy and print that many tickets.

The point is there is a payout X at which it becomes profitable to play the game. The point at which you can "buy the pot".

We can quibble about the details but that's all I'm saying.

There is a positive expected value at some point. But ending up splitting the jack pot 3 ways would be a big loss... so its still gambling
