know what the charge could be?

We know he knowingly allowed a dangerous situation to progress, so from a civil standpoint it is a slam dunk (unless you cant sue the state, not sure) but how about criminal?

Clearly he really liked what he saw when W made sure the Federal government did NOT respond to New Orleans and Katrina causing death and disease and destruction, he liked that so he wanted his own version.

The punishing indifference to citizens of cities in financial trouble was a -design- feature of the GOP and their treatment of Michigan which focused on stripping local governments of power to make predatory privatizations possible.

Deranged indifference is prosecutable.

To constitute depraved indifference, the defendant's conduct must be 'so wanton, so deficient in a moral sense of concern, so lacking in regard for the life or lives of others, and so blameworthy as to warrant the same criminal liability as that which the law imposes upon a person who intentionally causes a crime. Depraved indifference focuses on the risk created by the defendant’s conduct, not the injuries actually resulting.

I would say that is the reason more so than incompetence.

China Executes 2 People Over Tainted Milk Scandal

BEIJING — China executed a dairy farmer and a milk salesman Tuesday for their roles in the sale of contaminated baby formula – severe punishments that Beijing hopes will assuage public anger, reassure importers and put to rest one of the country's worst food safety crises.

Sometimes they shoot them in the back of the head and then send the bill for the bullets to the family. Other times they have a mobile lethal injection truck that pulls up to your door.

The jobs lost were irreplaceable. I think some "representatives" and politicians have forgotten what that word means.

Irreplaceable.

No one is building any new factories in Flint Michigan. Contrary to the lies we were told when the politicians were pushing NAFTA, there were few new jobs to go to. And even fewer new jobs that paid a living wage.

The Republican governor blames the victims of outsourcing for their own fate.

I can remember when I didn't even know the words Kia or Hundai. Democratic office holders have been complicit. We can't stop it if we sit back and accept it when Democratic office holders no longer work on our behalf.
