Exclusive: Texas disclosures on terror suspect premature - sources

WASHINGTON

Texas politicians made public details of an investigation into an alleged terrorism suspect while the inquiry was still in progress and related official documents outlining details of the probe were still under court seal, three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters on Friday.

The sources said Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick prematurely disclosed details of a probe that resulted in federal charges against a suspect in Houston, potentially putting aspects of the investigation in jeopardy.
