about how the management plan for public lands needs revision and how consideration for Indians needs to be given a lot more weight in that process.

I think that the Bundys played a role in later events of trying to drive the Danns off their land, I haven't watched this in years... makes me incredibly upset. This was a big under the radar issue when I was in college and living on the edge of the Great Basin studying contemporary Indians and issues, then I went into polisci with an advisor who was very invested in keeping track of public land issues in general and problems like the Bundys in particular among other cases. It's a mess from a policy standpoint to a public perception problem. Too much has flown under the radar for so long that we are inhibited from implementing an estimated half of our public commons management policies due to public ignorance of the issues and laws.

I'll have to look into their involvement with the Danns, in fact, I need to call that now retired prof today, I am absolutely certain this issue will be a large part of our conversation. He's an expert on this stuff... started a blog (on which many notables post) that is worth browsing from time to time and has archives of major story chronologies on wolf reintroduction, public land management and grazing issues and a host of other collections of info on these type issues.

I must confess that I have been pushing the blog on this site for the last week as there is so much valuable info about what's happening regarding our commons and particularly this Oregon event including background on all the parties involved.
