the precedence this is setting far outweighs the risks of evicting/jailing these assholes, IMO. (referring to Bundy's crew, not these new interlopers who I agree should be allowed to leave without issue).

Thank you for pointing that out.

The multiple threads about this stand-off seem to ignore that uncomfortable fact.

It's all fun and games till someone gets hurt, children.
Now behave yourselves and go back to your rooms.

I literally have a bowl of popcorn in my lap, which is IMO a fitting way to watch this play out. The Bundy group was temporarily deflated when the ranchers they came to rescue refused their help and reported to prison on Monday.

So they've spent part of the last week finding other malcontent ranchers to take up cause for. I've read they're planning to dismantle a fence so one rancher's cattle can run free on federal land; we'll see if that comes about.

Yesterday another armed group showed up and threatened to steal their thunder. They actually wanted to get between Bundy and the cameras. BIGGEST problem yet (?) successfully dealt with when the unwelcome interlopers accepted their ingratitude and left.

Although I'm with those who wanted Bundy Sr. arrested, I'm also with those who are very glad they're not on the Bundy side of the feds. Not a safe place to be. Someone should explain to them why they want to get OFF those computers, but it's probably far, far too late. And they expect to go to jail anyway.

Where do they get free time to play militia?

I'm at work, reading DU over lunch. I'd rather be out birding in a wildlife refuge.
