He was at his prime. That memory is like a band aid on my soul, today.

During the concert I attended, he did this amazing transition through several phases of his music/personal style. It was mesmerizing. He personified musical evolution.

He was one of those musical performers that I thought would be around forever.

Rest in Peace Mr. Jones. You will be missed.

Saratoga Performing Arts center. Took my brother who's a big fan. Great, GREAT seats - on paper. In reality we were behind two cement towers holding the roof up. Then he had enough stage masking that we couldn't see the band at all, and only him when he walked forward on stage. It was an expensive show that seemed to be fun, but now I'm careful about seating unless I know the venue.

He's really laid out a body of fame (no pun intended) with everyone from Bing Crosby to Grace Jones.

Big changes in the music world as these names are fading. We're down to two Beatles, fortunately still have Arethra Franklin, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, Steely Dan (sort of) and many others.

floor seats for a Springsteen show and ended up behind the sound board. Couldn't see a thing. Seating can definitely be a crapshoot.

..... at the boy's Prep School I went to in the early 70s.

Why?

Because if you liked... or even listened to him, you were GAY!

Yep... you heard it here!

Only gays listened to Bowie...and Roxy Music (for some reason... I think because the lead singer was Brian Ferry... Ferry / fairy...get it?)

But I caught up in college. Some great songs!
