I stopped watching when I realized no President would ever give you a true "state" of the Union because why would any President want you to think life in the good ol' US of A was anything but hunky-dory under their watch?

Do you remember the last time in a SotU address that a President admitted something wasn't going well, and that it was his administration's fault?

since 1969. It's possible that I've missed one or two, but I can't remember any. For me, it's a tradition, whether I support a particular President or not.
