1. They may be inept. They may seem funny. In fact they may seem utterly

ineffectual in a lovable 'duck dynasty' kind of way.

The fact is, though, that these people are crazy-right wingers who hate our government so much they'd like to overthrow it and replace it with their own brand of nightmarish, fascist theocracy. They are the modern version of the Stahlhelm, the Sturmabteilung, the storm troopers - the people wearing brown shirts and coal scuttle helmets that goose stepped on hobnailed boots through German streets, defaced Jewish shops, confiscated Jewish property, burnt books, burnt the Reichstag, and put a certain Austrian in power in a so-called 'thousand year reich.'

They are the modern version of the useful fools who helped the German military industrial complex rearm and conveniently loosed the dogs of war so IG Farben and Krupp could make higher profits.

They are the modern version of the grey-clad gangs who marched into Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Warsaw and Kiev. They are the modern version of those who set up camps to 'concentrate' those who did not fit into the new state - Jews, slavs, developmentally and physically disabled people, gay people, and anyone who disagreed.

When I see these goons I cannot help but see the sooty, greasy smoke coming from the crematoria chimneys and hanging heavy in a leaden sky. I cannot help but think of the nearly 80 million people who died from the war they began.

These right winger militia types are very scary - even more so because they are HEAVILY ARMED, and even more so because MANY OF THE POLICE SYMPATHIZE WITH THEM.

Sorry to be a downer, dixiegrrrrl and for the rant. No bad on you for posting this by any means and its a good pic and a good point, but these are some seriously, horribly scary people. And I DO question the fashion choice of summer cammo in winter...When I don my cammo I like to be in sync with the season!
