It is not likely the Sheriff will act on the occupation because he does not have the resources and it is not his responsibility. The federal government has the responsibility to act. And I wonder if their intelligence tells them other militias will react if they do anything. The chances for a peaceful end looks very doubtful.

And I will bet the GOP is ready to raise holy hell if the federal government acts. Maybe the GOP in Congress will put up a bill giving up the land immediately. Or demand that they are consulted on any action. The President would be overstepping his authority.

The fact that some GOPPERS, the MSM and particularly Fux News supports the militia more likely to embolden others to come to reinforce the occupiers.

Armed insurrection (Beer Hall Putsch) landed Hitler in jail for 9 months. Communists at the time were given 15 & 20 year sentences for much lighter crimes like agitation. He came out of jail more emboldened than ever.

I fear it is by design. The response to OWS, Ferguson among others vs Oregon is stark.

If they cut off access to the media, jam the cell phone reception, and cut off electricity, it could work with no backlash. And don't let anybody in or out unless they are surrendering.
