(31,811 posts)There's no way those people will join hands with folks who once voted for Obama.
They don't trust our side of the aisle for that.
They hate black people, brown people, etc. etc. They won't ever acknowledge someone who rubs shoulders with us. So those hoping they will cross over can just forget about it.
And among right leaning independents are some very anti government, very anti America types. So they can't count on them.
No - nope - not gonna happen.
The majority of Trump's supporters are virulent bigots who think the worst of brown folks. They will never cross over.

(11,804 posts)and the GOP advocating for White Supremacy. They are two different things. Now if Trump comes out and says about being proud to be accepting this support and that he agrees with them, than you would have a stronger case. As it is, all we can say is that White Supremacists support Trump (which is damning enough without gilding the lily)

(15,429 posts)If a white supremacist group supports you and you do not denounce it, by the transitive power of white supremacy, that makes you a white supremacist.

(114,904 posts)GOP bigwigs are not denouncing this. And yes, the word officially is misused.
I think not denouncing this should be a big story.
